I have been involved in the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry for over 25 years in Federal, State and Local Governments. I have also owned and managed very large Traffic Control Companies including Traffic Management People and are the current owner of Upskills QLD which I founded 14 years ago. Both are QLD Registered Traffic Management Companies with Quality and Safety assurance to ISO9001 and ISO45001. Upskills QLD is an RTO, licensed to deliver approved traffic training in QLD by the QLD Dept of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).
I am also a registered unrestricted Traffic Management Designer and have been registered as a Traffic Trainer with the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads for over 15 years.
I sit on a number of working groups for industry and training for the implementation of the National Harmonisation of Temporary Traffic Management project in QLD. My belief is although compliance is very important for organisations to meet their statutory and legislative requirements, it is the competence of the individual that is foremost in completing the job safely.
People are my passion. At Upskills Qld we are not like other RTOs – here, it’s all about you, the learner. Your experience with us will be enjoyable, informative and respectful. But, most importantly, when you leave us you will be competent in the tasks and at the level of the course you have undertaken with us. We enjoy nothing more than turning ordinary people into everyday legends.

I manage the Accounts and Finances of Upskills Qld. My experience stems from 10 years as the Financial Controller with Traffic Management People and logistic management in the Department of Defence, NSW Coal Compensation Board, NSW Work Cover, QLD Ambulance. My passion is people before process and the Upskills QLD motto ‘People Focused Training’ reflects mine and Brian’s individual purpose.

I have over 25 years experience in business in various management roles and specifically over 10 years with Registered Training Organisations. I am personally passionate about learning and my own personal education journey is one of continued development through formal and vocational education.
My motivation is passing this passion for the adult education sector onto my Upskills QLD team and every student that passes through our doors.
Upskills QLD has been built on a culture that is based on respect, inclusivity and focused on ensuring the best student experience and outcomes. What better purpose than “Turning ordinary people into everyday legends”, and this is my personal mantra that I follow and ensure my team follows everyday with every student.

I have been in the traffic industry for over 14 years and have held field roles that include traffic control, traffic management installer and supervisor. My passion is teaching and I pride myself on my ability to relate to most people and create a positive and supportive learning environment in all my classes. I have been exposed to many situations in the field and I find that this real world experience assists me in teaching people in this fast changing and technical industry.

I have been involved within the traffic industry for 6+ years across various roles including supervision, compliance, team building and upskilling staff which has led me into training. I bring to Upskills Qld my extensive experience mentoring and upskilling staff across various inhouse and industry-wide legislation, policies and procedures. I am deeply passionate about changing attitudes in the industry and I believe that starts in the classroom. I joined Upskills QLD in August 2023 with over 7 years experience on the road, as a TC and TMI.
I am passionate about helping people, and training people to do ‘the right thing’. Having worked in the field with real life experience I decided to take a career move to ensure students are receiving the correct information in the classroom, so when they go into the
field they can put it into the practice.
Compliance is my strong point, and something I was always and still am passionate about. It starts with us as Traffic Controllers to do the right thing! If we do the right thing, road users will learn to respect us, as well as complying whilst moving through our sites.
Although I may sounds serious in my blurb I love to have a laugh and joke in the classroom to ensure I’m making a difference in people’s lives, and giving them a training experience they won’t forget.
I look forward to working with you all, and hoping that along with my team we can be the face of traffic management.

I recently joined Upskills QLD as I really connected with their ethos and purpose and approach to training driven by a real desire to bring the best out of people. They really do help people become legends and I wanted to become part of that too.
My previous experience working with the Australian Defence Force in Operational Regiments, Regimental Roles, former soldier and as an instructor in training centres taught me the value of having a positive attitude combined with knowledge to excel in life and make a difference.
After retiring from the ADF, I became a Traffic Controller with the Miscellaneous Security Industries before quickly advancing to Manager responsible for implementing traffic guidance schemes, Traffic Management Design and teaching Traffic Control.
I am focused on training; I believe in training people to perform safely and to the required state rules, laws, and legislation. I maintain a high safety level for work crews and the travelling public.

Recently did the traffic management implementation course with Jase. He is a wealth of knowledge and has a common sense approach to training. Could not recommend him enough 10/10.

I recently completed a White Card training course with Upskills QLD. The course was well-organized, informative, and directly applicable to my work. 3 days Traffic Course with Jason Kassulke Jason is amazing, he has presented the course perfectly, with clear information, direction and given grateful care answering our questions clearly and giving us an full understanding to the Career Development within The Traffic Control Industry and how to assist us getting ahead within this industry. A good example of this is I take longer to do my theory, and I came in for the theory with a close to borderline migraine, when I came to Jason and explained this, Jason did what he could to assist easing what he could allowing me the time I needed, checking in not just on me but all of us. Because of Jason's care and attention to all details, knowledge and his understanding I was able to keep up with everyone. I would not hesitate to take further training under Jason's Training

Was very thorough teacher, teaching us the traffic control course Jason was energetic vibrant kept us interested in course what we were learning gave us heaps of feedback with all our answers and questions. Highly recommend this training group. All the people on the Office are lovely. Rusty and Michelle are both so helpful and go out of there way to help you. Scotty is an absolute legend. He is very detailed with his teaching. He is obviously very experienced in the industry. Highly recommend to anyone trying to obtain there traffic control ticket. Update: 1.09.2025. Training was on point, the trainer Jase went into details on specific important points in relation to the course, sharing real experiences with everyone to provide understanding of a lot of aspects of different things. The locations chosen for theory and practical trainings were good choices. Class was made to feel welcoming and interesting. Any training I’d do in the future would be with Upskills QLD. 5 stars.
Upskills was the place to renew my tmi, great correspondence easy to find great price and Graig our trainer was all over it and explained things very well.
