The accredited Upskills QLD Work Safely at Heights and our courses specialising in Confined Spaces will give you the hands-on practical skills and knowledge needed to work safely in everyday real world situations.
You will learn and practise industry approved techniques using our purpose built facilities and our provided equipment along with risk assessment.
Alternatively, we can come to you or even adapt the course to suit your specific needs, including the use of your own equipment if preferred.
Our Working at Heights course emphasises fall prevention rather than fall arrest, addressing the industry issues around this high risk activity.
For confined spaces we cover the complete activity from start to finish, including working in accordance with a permit, testing and monitoring the atmosphere.
Our focus is on practical hands-on activities based around student competence rather than a tick in the box compliance approach so you leave the day confident, competent and qualified in working at heights safely.

RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights
This training course is based on the unit RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights and provides the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the resources and infrastructure industries at an entry level.
Note – Working at heights includes any job where there is a chance of you being injured by falling down from one level to another, like falling off a roof or from the top of a heavy vehicle more than 2m high.
RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
This course is based on Enter and Work in Confined Spaces, Work in Accordance with an Issued Permit and Gas Test atmospheres in the resources and infrastructure industries at an entry level.

New entrants to Working at Heights and Confined Spaces should be supervised and monitored in the workplace by a competent person until a satisfactory level of competency is obtained.
Any person who is working at heights or in confined spaces needs training, clear work instructions and must use fall prevention (working at heights) and safety equipment. You will learn about:

On completion of the program successful participants are issued Statement of Attainments for MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit, MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres, RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces and RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights.
